We Love Counselling Parents To Get Back On Track

What Our Clients Have to Say

"

THANK-YOU

We went to counselling because I was ready to leave my marriage. I couldn't see a way to make things work. We were so disconnected. My husband was more married to his business than me and I'd had enough. But through Counselling For Parents I learnt that my relationship was worth fighting for. I remembered why I loved my husband and we found our way back to each other. I am very grateful.

I REGAINED TRUST

My husband had cheated on me a few years before we started counselling. I thought I was over it, but all the feelings of betrayal returned when I caught him lying again. I almost left but we sought counselling for parents instead. We learnt that lying was his was of avoiding dealing with how unhappy he was. We worked on strategies to heal the pain & rebuild both our self esteems. Now we couldn't be closer.

WE ARE A TEAM NOW

We came to counselling because my wife is the main breadwinner of the home and I do most of the childcare as a home husband. Whilst I love the time I have with my kids, I lost a lot of my financial say in the home. In counselling we worked on being a team and valuing the contributions we both make in the home. Now we are so much closer and our communication has never been better.

We work together to support couples to improve communication, deeply understand each other's needs and desires, let go of resentment and heal from past pain.

ENQUIRE TODAY

Meet Lizzie

Hi, I'm Lizzie.

I'm the Founder of Counselling For Parents. I have been counselling parents for over 15 years to reconnect, heal from past pain and work as a team. A healthy and happy family takes work because parenting, finances, balancing work/life/family commitments and illness often get in the way.

I have had countless couples come to see me with the view of separating, only to discover after working with me, how to rebuild their relationships and save their marriage.

As a parent of 2 children who has been married and together with my husband for over 20 years, I understand the challenges couples face on a personal level too. This is why I am committed to supporting couples that are parents to understanding what is standing in the way of getting back on track and healing from the past in order to move forward as a team.

In the rare case that a couple cannot reconcile and sees no other alternative than to separate, I work with couples to find the most amicable split. This is really important for your health and for the health and wellbeing of children involved. But I do everything I can to avoid getting to this step if possible!
